East Lake School Fine Arts Expo raised over $2100 which will go towards furniture, computers & jerseys.

With East Lake School just wrapping up its first year, the East Lake School Council decided to host a Fine Arts Expo on June 24th that would raise money to get furniture for the schools commons areas, school jersey’s and computers.
Parents, students and staff filled the school for the event to help raise funds for these much needed supplies and equipment. Students’ achievements from throughout the year were showcased as the gymnasium walls were covered with their beautiful works of art. A silent auction of some of the students art work, crafts, leather works, etc., culinary student bake sale, concert band & grades 3, 4 and 5 recorders, guitar club, grade 6 crime scene, face painting, pizza were just a few of the amazing things at the Fine Arts Expo.
Although an exact total of the funds raised is not known yet, Lori Maier, Vice Chair of East Lake School Council reported they had raised over $2100.
“The East Lake School Council Fine Art Expo was a huge success! What an amazing turn out, the food and baked goods were fantastic, the face painting was super fun, the music was phenomenal, the silent auctions went great and the students hard work was show cased and admired by all! We would love to thank everyone for the donations that went towards the silent auction, The Waiting Room Cafe for the coffee and tea, the parents for their time setting up, baking & running the event, the teachers for all of their amazing support & contribution and the students for all their hard work and commitment! Thank you all for coming out and supporting out wonderful students here at East Lake School!”, said Maier.
