On Saturday July 28 during the Water Festival about 48 bakers including old hands, novices and volunteers gathered in the Whitecapper’s Room in the Chestermere Rec Centre for the 2nd annual “Preserving Our Skills Workshop.” Participants spent a full day preparing for the upcoming Red Ribbon competition at the Country Fair September 7th and 8th. The event was hosted generously by the Chestermere Agricultural Society. It’s back! The Charity Pie Auction ( 2nd annual) sponsored by the Chestermere Ag Society and the Chestermere Country Fair Red Ribbon. Get your rolling pins and your aprons ready, the pie auction pie making will take place on Wednesday September 5th 6:30-8pm at the Chestermere Regional Recreation centre Multi Purpose Room. With the summer weeks flying by and Fall fast approaching it’s time to look at the hustle and bustle of the 2012 Chestermere Agricultural Society Country Fair on Saturday, September 8, 2012. CHESTERMERE – The Chestermere Agricultural Society is proud to host the Country Connections Spring Festival for another year. The fair will be held at the Chestermere Recreation Centre on Saturday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be lots of activities, food and fun for the whole family including a rabbit show and competition, rabbit hopping contests, the Quilters Guild Show and Sale, a trade show, kid zone and entertainment stage, PetFest, the Parade of Garage Sales and more.
