The little town that could won’t be left behind! If big sister Calgary can have an annual Historic Week, then so can we! Thanks to the Town of Chestermere for allowing the Chestermere Historic Foundation some space in the lobby to celebrate the first ever ‘Historic Chestermere Week’. There was a display of artifacts and information about the history of Chestermere in the Town Hall from July 30th through to August 3rd, 2012. Copies of ‘ Chestermere A Home for All Seasons’ are still available at the front desk to look at, and purchase for $48. Though there are many [...]

CHESTERMERE– Gearheads and car nuts galore gathered at the recreation centre on Saturday for this year’s annual Show ‘n’ Shine. Although early morning storm clouds may’ve kept some car owners parked, over 300 revved-up revellers came to show off their rides. “I think there would’ve been twice as many people if we had blue skies to start the morning, but we were just so lucky the rain held off,” said event organizer Elaine Smart. It was the first show presented by the Chestermere Car Nutz, a newly formed group of car enthusiasts who meet every Wednesday night in Chestermere Station. [...]

CHESTERMERE – Mike and Elaine Smart have organized the Chestermere Car Show for nine years.
