There was lots of buzz at the Facilities and Amenities Strategic Planning Open House held at the Rec Center on Monday April 22. The team of the FAP was very pleased with the response from over 30% of the town’s population and what is clear is that our town is in need and want of new recreation facilities as well as improvement to the existing Rec Center Complex. In fact, there are 21 dancers in the Calgary Dance Express (CDE) that are about to dazzle you with a spectacular dance performance YOU won’t want to miss. CHESTERMERE – There are a number of jobs that people do for a living that many people take for granted; also many that don’t get recognized as an important service. The Chestermere Recreation Centre employs several dedicated people who fit into both of these categories. CHESTERMERE – Blood is required for many reasons including transfusions for cancer patients, those involved in accidents and medical operations. Approximately every minute of every day, someone in Canada needs blood. There is a constant need for blood and several Chestermere residents showed their dedication for giving to the ongoing donation program. Over 160 people made appointments and donated on December 17 to the mobile blood donor clinic which is held here at the Chestermere Recreation Centre MPP Room every other month.
