    May 10 

    There were 1,747 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta. 

    The total deaths were 117.

    There were 71 hospitalizations in the province, with 13 admissions to the intensive care unit (ICU).

    There were 687 cases with unknown exposure.

    There were 634 active cases and a total of 722 cases confirmed at continuing care facilities. Eighty-four residents at these facilities have died.

    There were 58 active cases among workers from the Cargill meat processing plant in High River, and 893 have recovered. 

    There were 82 active cases among workers from JBS Foods Canada in Brooks, and 520 have recovered.

    Seventeen active cases were confirmed at Harmony Beef, and 21 individuals have recovered.

    In total, 4,389 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19. 

    May 11

    There were 6,300 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.

    There were 117 deaths in the province.

    There were 73 hospitalizations, and 12 admissions to the ICU.

    There were 682 cases with unknown exposure.

    There were 102 active cases and 542 recovered cases at continuing care facilities. Eighty-four residents at these facilities have died.

    There were 36 active cases among workers from the Cargill meat processing plant in High River, and 911 have recovered.

    There were 58 active cases among workers from JBS Foods Canada in Brooks, and 548 have recovered.

    16 active cases were confirmed at Harmony Beef, and 22 individuals have recovered.

    From May 11 to May 18, testing eligibility was expanded in the Calgary zone to include anyone working outside of the home who is not experiencing symptoms. Up to 1,000 tests for this group can be done per day. Booking will be on a first-come, first-served basis through the Alberta Health Services online assessment tool.

    In total, 4,659 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19. 

    May 12

    There were 1,361 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta. 

    There were 118 deaths in the province.

    There were 73 hospitalizations, and 12 admissions to the ICU.

    There were 654 cases with unknown exposure.

    There were 105 active cases and 559 recovered cases at continuing care facilities; 85 residents at these facilities have died.

    There were 25 active cases among workers from the Cargill meat processing plant in High River, and 920 have recovered. 

    There were 44 active cases among workers from JBS Foods Canada in Brooks, and 582 have recovered.

    12 active cases have been confirmed at Harmony Beef, and 28 individuals have recovered.

    In total, 4,866 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19.

    May 13

    There were 1,211 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.

    There were 120 deaths in the province. 

    There were 70 hospitalizations and 11 admissions to the ICU.

    There were 638 cases to date with unknown exposure.

    There were 104 active cases and 562 recovered cases at continuing care facilities; 86 residents at these facilities have died.

    There were 23 active cases among workers from the Cargill meat processing plant in High River, and 924 have recovered.

    There were 15 active cases among workers from JBS Foods Canada in Brooks, and 620 have recovered.

    10 active cases were confirmed at Harmony Beef, and 30 individuals have recovered.

    In total, 5,076 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19. 

    May 14

    There were 1,131 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.

    There were 121 deaths in the province.

    There were 65 hospitalizations, and 10 admissions to the ICU. 

    There were 631 cases with unknown exposure.

    There were 100 active cases and 569 recovered cases at continuing care facilities; 87 residents at these facilities have died.

    There were 16 active cases among workers from the Cargill meat processing plant in High River, and 932 have recovered.

    There were 14 active cases among workers from JBS Foods Canada in Brooks, and 627 have recovered.

    Five active cases were confirmed at Harmony Beef, and 35 individuals have recovered.

    In total, 5,205 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19. 

    May 15 

    There were 1,073 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.

    There were 125 deaths in the province. 

    There were 62 hospitalizations, and nine admissions to the ICU. 

    There were 630 cases with an unknown exposure.

    Limits on outside gatherings have increased to no more than 50 people from the previous limit of 15.

    There were 103 active cases and 576 recovered cases at continuing care facilities; 91 residents at these facilities have died.

    In total, 5,317 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19. 

    May 16 

    There were 1,084 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta. 

    There were 26 deaths in the province. 

    There were 19 hospitalizations, and eight admissions to the ICU.

    There were 630 cases with an unknown exposure.

    There were 97 active cases and 586 recovered cases at continuing care facilities; 92 residents at these facilities died.

    In total, 5,377 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19.
