1946 – 2008
It is with great sadness the family of Anton Gramblicka announces his sudden passing at his residence on Sunday, March 9, 2008. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife, Brenda of Chestermere; his four children; Thomas (Rhonda) Gramblicka, Matthew (Amanda) Gramblicka, Dawne Gramblicka (Paul Striegl) and Antonia (Dave) Hewlett; his brothers and sisters; Stanley Matlo, Emily Schmidt, Joseph Matlo, Alex (Wanda) Matlo, Steve (Grace) Matlo, John (Bernadette) Matlo, Jim Matlo and Theresa (Charles) Kitella and his six grandchildren; Kyle, Zachary, Alyx, Caden, Gabriel, and Levi. Anton was predeceased by his father Thomas Gramblicka; step-father Joseph Matlo, mother Antonia Matlo and brother George Matlo. A private family service will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel on Friday, March 14, 2008. Interment of cremated remains will follow the service at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 15, 2008 at the Chestermere Recreation Centre at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Anton’s name may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, #100, 119 – 14 Street NW, Calgary, Alberta T2N 1Z6.
