MANNING – Sylvia Theresa

June 21, 1946 – August 8, 2009
 
Sylvia Manning of Calgary passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the age of 63 years after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Sylvia will be lovingly remembered by her children, Tara and Mark Leeder, Cory Manning, and David and Lorilei Perin; five grandchildren, Brooke and Jonathan Leeder, Dylan and Cristian Manning, and Jessica Perin.  She is also survived by her former husband Les Manning and close family friend Corey Houston; five siblings, Bob and Sheila Dionne, Frank and Nancy Dionne, Linda and Pat Beier, Tom and Kirk Dionne as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sylvia was predeceased by her parents Joe and Julia Dionne. Sylvia will be remembered for her strong will, unconditional love, generosity and caring for others. She left a lasting impression on everyone she touched. Her greatest love in life was her family and pets.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Catholic Church (5552 Madigan Drive NE) on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Rosedale Hospice #920 – 7A Street NW, Calgary, AB T2M 3J3 or directly to Sylvia’s charity – CSPD 3410 Spruce Drive SW, Calgary, AB T3C 3A4
