Iona passed away peacefully with her family by her side, following a five year battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at the age of 54 years. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 27 years, Neil; her daughter, Kara and stepsons, Wayne and Kirby; grandson, Eryk; her father, Harold Anhorn; mother, Violet Anhorn; and by a sister Julie Anhorn as well as many close friends. Iona will always be remembered for her loving, outgoing, compassionate nature. She was always giving to others before herself. “Servant’s Heart”
A Funeral Service will be held at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 243209 Garden Road NE (16 Avenue & Garden Road NE) on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. A Graveside service and Reception will follow.
