EMS respond to fatal MVC East of Chestermere

One person has died in a single vehicle rollover on Highway 1 east of Chestermere Oct. 21.
Strathmore RCMP responded along with EMS to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 1 in the eastbound lanes near Range Road 261 at about 2 p.m.
Police said that the eastbound car lost control and rolled into the south ditch and adjoining field.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 29-year-old woman from Calgary was pronounced dead on scene by EMS.
RCMP will not be releasing the victim’s name.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the rollover but said that there was no indication that alcohol was involved.
