October 16, 1932 – March 31, 2012 George Verne Offen of Chestermere Alberta passed away on March 31, 2012. Born in Markham Ontario to William George Offen of Cedar Grove, Ontario and Mina Isabel Offen (nee Miller) of Port Perry, Ontario. Survived by brother, Glenn (Mary) Offen; sisters: Dianne Kemp and Wendy Carr and former wife, Mary Ellen Offen. Verne also leaves behind daughters: Debbie Edge (former son in law Rob) and Kathy Smith (son in law Bob); his grandson and closest companion, Kiel Edge. November 11th, 1916 – January 27th, 2012 Johnny passed away peacefully at Clifton Manor at the age of 95 years. He was one of the original home owners of Chestermere Lake, owning his lot since 1955. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by family and friends and all who knew him. The funeral service took place on Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
