Sucessful fall athletic season for St. Gabriels

The month of November marks the end of a very successful 2011 fall athletic season for SGA and the beginning of the 2012 athletic season. The fall sports of cross country, volleyball and soccer provided our student athletes the opportunity to share their skills and abilities. All have represented, and will continue to represent our community in a positive and successful manner.

Our athletic successes to date can be attributed to:

  • Dedicated parents, who spend endless hours watching and driving their children.
  • The athletes who are committed to their team-mates, their respective disciplines and the pursuit of excellence.
  • Coaches who have devoted their time and energy to develop these students, as both athletes and model citizens of St Gabriel.

Team Highlight – Junior Varsity Girls Volleyball
Our junior varsity girls had a tremendous season losing just one match in regular season play and participating in a senior girl’s tournament where they held their own. They finished the season ranked number one in their division, and ended up playing Father Lacombe in the finals, where they captured the banner. It is our second high school banner in our ten year history, and with the athletes we have, we are expecting more in the near future. Congratulations to all the girls and their fabulous coaches, Mrs. Treslove and Mrs. McCutcheon.
