Forward Megan Hansen was born in Valley View, Alberta. Previous to living in Okotoks, Megan lived in Fort McMurray. She began hockey at the age of 11 inspired by watching NHL games and her best friend who played hockey. Megan played “B” for her first three years of hockey in Fort McMurray. Once she moved to Okotoks, Megan played one year Bantam AAA. Her first year as a Midget was played with the Okotoks Oilers A team. Megan has fond memories playing with the Oilers as the team won provincials. Megan was the assistant captain. Congratulations! This year is the second year for Megan with the High Wood Raiders AAA team. Aside from hockey, Megan loves animals and making other people happy. Teacher or petroleum engineer are careers Megan is thinking of pursuing once she graduates in 2013. She is undecided as to whether she will continue with her hockey career post-secondary. All the best to you in your future endeavors Megan!

The Raiders are preparing for the upcoming Macs tournament. Their first game will be December 26, 11:30 am at Max Bell #2. Come on out and cheer the girls on.
