CHESTERMERE – Have you ever thought of your home as being a smart home? Well how about the thought of it not only being smart, but being an intelligent home. Scott Dry has partnered up with Jesse Depew to form a company called Infinite Control Inc. and together they would like to make your home intelligent. What they mean by that is, they can install a system in your home in which you can remotely adjust your lights, locks and thermostats, plus set energy saving Smart Schedules to fit your lifestyle. Many systems can do some similar things; however, Infinite Control is able to connect you with your home through a smart phone app or online access, allowing the customers the ability to control things such as their door locks, lights, thermostats, cameras, and the security system while on the go. Land line phones are going the way of the dinosaur for many homes so even if you have an existing home security system that uses a land line, Infinite Controls can adapt to it and make the system completely remote.
The system can be more than just a home security system, and this is where the intelligent part comes into play. Infinite Controls has the capability to adjust the thermostat and lighting in the house saving you tons of money in utility costs. If you think of how far technology has progressed since the first computer, then this is possibly how far the technology has come since the first home security system. It’s exciting to think of the things this system can do, for example, you can lock the door from your bedroom without having to go downstairs, but if the door is ajar then it will let you know that too. You can unlock the door from your office for the cleaning staff or give the cleaning staff or anyone else a separate code and the system will let you know when they come and go from your home. Suppose you leave your home without locking the door, the system will notify you by text and you can lock it from your car.
How’s this for a very practical feature; there is no need to worry about the kids losing a house key and not getting in the house on a cold winters day. The kids merely have a code to input into the keypad on the front door lock and just like that, they’re in the door, safe and sound; parental piece of mind. The system has the capability to send a text or an email when the door is opened and will allow you to see the person(s) entering your home. Cameras can be added that allow you to look into your home through your phone and will even email video clips to your phone based on motion.
Using the Cellular network rather than a land line is an added security advantage to keeping your home or business safe from intruders. Imagine sitting on the beach at a resort and monitor the activities around your home or business while you are away; smart and convenient.
Other life safety features such as smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as well as water detection sensors can be added to the system.
There is complete comfort in knowing that there is always 2 way voice communications to not just one, but two monitoring call centres that operate 24/7.
Finally, monthly rates are affordable and priced for every budget. This too is offset by some insurance companies offering a 10 to 20 percent reduction on insurance rates.
Infinite Control has packages for both residential and small businesses that can be customized to any home or business and work on any budget and offer a free assessment of your needs.
Scott Dry has spent the last 8 years with GE security as the Western Canada Technical Manager, in which he represented and trained security companies on the GE Security products for Western Canada.
