Rockyview Raiders win league home opener

The Rockyview Raiders won their league home opener Saturday, October 6th vs the Airdrie AC Avalanche at the Chestermere Rink. During the first period William Conely scored assisted by Eric Theander. In the second period Brendan Moore scored with assists to Ross McConnell and Eric Theander. Eric Theander scored the 3rd goal with assist to Matt Thompson. William Conley scored the 4th goal with assists to Quinton Peplinski and Sebastian Kilcommons, during the 4th period for a final score of 4-2.
The Raiders hosted the Calgary Northstar Blazers, Sunday, October 7th , winning 8 -3. Eric Theander started it off with the first goal assisted by Josh Bishop, Josh Bishop scored the 2nd goal assisted by Jordan Grover, Eric scores again assisted by Ross McConnell, Matt Thomson scores assisted by Eric Theander and Ross McConnell. Eric gets a hat trick scoring again unassisted. Dallas Otto scored the 6th goal assisted by Kyle Rosolowski, Eric again his 4th goal of the game assisted by Ross McConnell and Matt Thomson. Jake Anderson gets the 8th goal assisted by Matt Thomson and Jordan McCarthy, to make the final 8 -3.
The Raiders will be visiting the Medicine Hat Southeast Hounds on Saturday, October 13th at 4:45, then home again to host the Calgary Buffalo Rangers on Sunday at 3:15 in Chesteremere. The Raiders are tied with the Red Deer IROC Chiefs for number 1 in the standings with 4 points so far this season.
