Donor Prizes Enhance Red Ribbon Fun

Donor-prizes-2013-July-31

We live in a very generous community! And that generosity gives an edge to the Chestermere Red Ribbon Competition, sponsored by the Chestermere Ag Society. This year the Red Ribbon Committee is pleased to say that nearly $3000 in cash prizes has already been committed by nearly 25 individuals and businesses in the local area–and it is not too late for YOUR name to be on this list of contributors to a successful Red Ribbon 2013.

In the Platinum Category ( $400 and above) there is Four Star Electric, The Calgary Yacht Club, EPCOR, EnCana, TD Canada Trust, and The Anchor Weekly. In the Gold Category ( $200-$399) there is Town of Chestermere Public Library & Foundation, Karen Gonzales Sutton Real Estate, Marjorie and Doug McKay Re/Max Real Estate, Co-op Monterey, The Town of Chestermere and The Craig Lawrence Memorial Fund. In the Silver Category ($100-$199) there is Cobblestone Garden Centre, Chestermere Regional Community Association, Bhupinder Billing and Family, Eagle Lake Nursery, Jim McDonald and family and Country Fair Baking Contests. And in the Bronze Category ( up to $99) there is Calgary Beekeepers Association, Safeway Chestermere, Maria Schneider CHIP, Tamarack Fine Woodworking, Shoppers Drug Mart Salina Bandali, Patricia Virk BMO, and The Home Vintner.

Sponsor names will appear on the huge banner in the Curling Rink during the Fair and also on a special donor poster that will be distributed at the Fair and after in The Anchor Weekly. Sponsors are also encouraged to get involved on the day of the Fair. The Red Ribbon desk is a perfect spot to hang out in the Curling Rink on Saturday September 14th 10am to 4pm. Check the winners who have received YOUR prize and maybe get a chance to meet them! All sponsors are welcome to distribute business cards during the Red Ribbon Competition exhibition. The donor poster will also appear on the Chestermere Country Fair Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ChestermereCountryFair?filter=3. Would you like to be a sponsor–or volunteer? Get in touch– there is still time! Donor sponsor coordinator is Lennox and he can be reached at lennoxgomes@gmail.com or call Carol 403 272 7170 x 223.
