On Saturday, September 28 people packed into Chestermere’s only travel agency office to celebrate the opening of the 100% full service travel company.

According to Vicky Barzey, Owner and Manager of the new business, it was an absolutely amazing day. “It feels so good to have the support of Chestermere and to be able to provide a local option for booking your travel plans” says Barzey, “its one less thing to drive into Calgary for.”

Between 250-300 people gathered throughout the day to meet the team and find out more information about what they offer with some even taking the opportunity to book upcoming trips. “We help plan and book everything from your weekend trip to Banff to the world cruise you’ve always been dreaming of.”

Members of town council were there to congratulate the new business owners and even hopeful council candidates stopped in to say hi. An added incentive of visiting on Saturday, which surely drew in a few extra visitors, was the chance to win a free cruise for two. Everyone got to fill out a ballot for the draw and one lucky local resident was happy to win the Royal Caribbean trip.

One resident who attended the event shared her feeling on having a travel agency in town. “I spend so much of my own time making travel plans, I am thrilled to now have the option to do it locally through travel experts which will save me time and money – you can’t beat these prices.”

Barzey invites everyone to join them for an upcoming consumer evening on October 8, 2013 from 7:00-9:00pm at the Yacht Club to hear a representative from Princess Cruises talk about what their cruise line has to offer. This is a free event open to the public and a great way to get an introduction to cruising and its benefits. To register, call Expedia CruiseShipCentres in Chestermere at (403)263-3500 or stop their new location at 16, 140 E Chestermere Drive.
