Head-on Collision on Hwy 797

On July 23, 2013 at 0705 hours, Strathmore RCMP responded to a call of a head-on collision on Hwy 797 between Hwy 560 and Hwy 1.

Investigation determined that a south bound SUV crossed the center line and struck a north bound Semi-Tractor trailer unit head-on. The driver of the Semi was uninjured and the driver of the SUV was transported to Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There is no indication that speed, alcohol or drugs were factors in this collision.

This matter remains under investigation by Strathmore RCMP.
