Get a sleigh ride through the streets of Kinniburgh during the Kinniburgh Christmas Celebration every Saturday before Christmas from 2-4:00pm

Down in Kinniburgh, the home builders and Pollyco Developments are hosting a special event to spice up your holidays. Every Saturday in December before Christmas from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, they invite you and your family to come together and celebrate “It’s a Kinniburgh Christmas”.
Although the colder than average temperatures kept the streets quite on the first weekend of Christmas celebrations, a few people still ventured out this past Saturday to enjoy the festivities. And it wasn’t too cold for the Miniature Horses that were happily providing sleigh rides between show homes.
Santa is giving away three $100 Toys R Us Shopping spree to the lucky winners and it’s not too late for you to enter – they will continue to hold the contest during the Christmas parties and the draw will be on Dec. 21. All you have to do is visit the BMO tent located on Kinniburgh Blvd where you’ll be able to enjoy complimentary hot chocolate around a bonfire. The BMO elves will give you a Santa passport, and then it’s your mission to get the passport stamped in all seven of the fabulous show homes to be automatically entered into the Toys R Us shopping spree.
You can even get some Christmas shopping done by sharing the gift of Chestermere history. The Chestermere Historical Foundation is set up in the Douglas Homes show home, selling the Chestermere History book called “A Home for All Seasons” at a special Christmas price of only $40.
Each Saturday, Candie Schmidt of Cotton Candy and The Lake Recording Studio will be performing starting at 3:00 pm every Saturday. She also offers up tasty cotton candy for everyone to enjoy and you can listen to the Chestermere High School Jazz Band performing from 2:00 to 2:30p.m. For hockey lovers, The World’s Longest Hockey Game organizers will set up a tent in the community where you can try your hand at a little hockey net practice and you can even enjoy a live nativity scene.
Last but not least Kinniburgh gives back to Chestermere by offering a chance to learn about Christmas with Dignity. This worthwhile and much needed local charity will be located in the Lifestyle show home and will serve up arts and crafts and lots of candy canes for the kids.
So don’t miss “It’s a Kinniburgh Christmas” every Saturday before Christmas. You can hear all about the event on XL 103.1. A map, directions and contest details are available on www.kinniburgh-chestermere.ca
