There will be someone new helping our tried and true Association of Alberta Agricultural Societies judges this year and she is well known to readers of the Calgary Herald. Welcome to Gwendolyn Richards who has kindly agreed to judge Best Baked with Honey ( Competition #123) and Heart Smart Muffins (Competition #121) for the Red Ribbon Competition September 13th 2013. Special prizes for all winners! To quote Gwendolyn, she is ” the food writer for the Calgary Herald where she reviews and tries recipes from myriad cookbooks in her column, Cooking the Books, and also writes about local chefs and food trends. She is also the blogger behind www.PatentandthePantry.com . There she shares her love for baking, cooking and photography. She loves good burgers, old-fashioned cocktails and just about anything flavoured with citrus. She can often be spotted dining out while wearing shiny, patent heels”.
