Library for December Christmas with Dignity

Christmas Event – The Annual Christmas with Dignity celebration at Town Hall is on Saturday, December 6. Kids can visit the Christmas store and purchase gifts for family. Don’t forget to stop by the Library from 10:00 am – 1:30 pm to make your personalized gift tags. There will also be storytimes and a Christmas movie at noon. Come kick off the holiday season with us.
Nordic Walking Poles – Now available at the Library. Each kit includes a set of walking poles and an instructional DVD. Use 90% of your muscles and burn 20-46% more calories than walking alone.
Video Games – Check out our new collection of video games for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Wii and Wii U.
Find Chester – Chester the Library Pup needs to get out and meet more people. So from now on, when the Library goes to an event Chester is coming too. Kids can drop by the Library or Library booth at a community event and sign up for a “Find Chester” card. We will bring Chester and the cards to our activities around town, and when kids come find Chester, they can get their card stamped. Find Chester four times and get a free used book!
Library Foundation – Will be meeting on Thursday, November 27 at 7:00 pm. Meetings are open to the public and volunteers are always appreciated.
ME Libraries – Alberta Wide Borrowing – Your Chestermere Library card now gives you Alberta wide borrowing at most Alberta public libraries. Yes, even Calgary! Sign up using the melibraries.ca website, and your Chestermere Library card will now work at the libraries you choose to join.
Attention Grades 1 – 5! Join us after school for a drop-in program just for you on Tuesdays from 4:00 – 5:00 pm. Activities will include LEGO nights, board games, crafts and family movies (3:30 – 5:00 pm).
Running Room – Learn to Run Clinic in Chestermere – Not registered for the Clinic? You can still join us for free training runs on Mondays at 6:00 pm and Saturdays at 9:30 am.
Storytime – Join us every Wednesday and Friday at 10:15 am for songs, stories and more! Sleepytime Stories are every Thursday from 6:30 – 7:00 pm. Kids, come in your pajamas with your favorite stuffed friends for stories before bedtime.
Baby Talk is a free drop-in group for parents and babies, ages 0-1 year old. They meet weekly at the Library on Wednesdays from 1:30 – 3:30 pm. Find them on Facebook by searching ‘Chestermere Baby Talk’.
