Isn’t it comforting to know that a spa is at arm’s reach? That at any moment we may require that extra tender love and care, we can just drive on over and receive whatever pampering we require? Well, your dog can now have that to look forward to, thanks to Charmaine Scarlett’s new business–The Pawticular Pooch. Opening on April 7th, this unique dog boutique will provide your companion with everything he or she could possibly want. The store will offer fancy collars, accessories, and will even have a bakery that will make natural homemade treats like cakes and cookies. It will also have a doggy day care and spa, which will tend to every grooming opportunity your pooch may need. Canines can get specific cuts, facials, pedicures (referred to as pawdicures), and even the choice of fur dying. For larger dogs that pet owners may have a more difficult time washing and grooming within the comfort of their own home, The Pawticular Pooch has a ‘self-serve’ dog wash that customers can use to make their friends smelling nice and fresh. Dog owners can also look forward to the transparency of the company. Grooming will not occur behind closed doors, but rather in glass enclosed grooming areas. The Pawticular Pooch also offers pet photography by Scarlett herself, who is a dog-loving photographer. “There is nothing like this in town,” says Scarlett, “I have to drive in to the city to get something like this done to my dogs, so I thought that I would bring this to Chestermere.” With the addition of this unique kind of dog grooming shop, Scarlett believes it will be convenient to pet owners who want to treat their pets to a high-end spa treatment, close to home. ”The whole idea is to make it like a human spa,” shares Scarlett, “so it is high end. There are polished concrete floors, high ceilings, chandeliers, even a living room with a fire place and a television.”
Although Scarlett herself is not a dog groomer, she has certified grooming staff that will be able to tend to the pampered pups. Mark your calendars, because April 19th will be the official grand opening of The Pawticular Pooch, which will feature different kinds of promotions as well as a dog fashion show.
