During the 2015 Langdon Days held July 17th – 19th, we at the Chestermere Anchor City News had our table set up where we chatted with event goers and got a chance to speak with some of our readers.
As always, we had some great prizes to draw for and after a hectic summer, the prizes have been delivered to the excited winners!
9 year old Desiree was the winner of the girls’ prize bucket which included all sorts of fun summer items and some sweet treats. Desiree, who has lived in Langdon her whole life, said that her favourite part of Langdon Days was the parade and that her favourite thing she did all summer was a family trip to British Columbia.
The boys prize bucket went to 8 year old Jordon Jacobson who said that his favourite thing about Langdon Days was also the parade – but more so the candy that the parade entries threw to the awaiting crowd. Jordon took a trip to Mexico this summer, which he says was the highlight of his summer break.
Debbie, a day care provider in Langdon, was the winner of the Samsung Tablet. Debbie has lived in Langdon since January 2008 and says that she and her family always attend Langdon Days. “We enjoy the parade, all the kids activities, and, of course, the beer gardens”. When Debbie isn’t looking after the little ones that attend her day home, she and her family enjoy camping at their trailer in Drumheller.
We at the Chestermere Anchor City News send out a huge congratulations to our winners and say thank you for stopping by to say hi!!
We will have a table set up at the 26th Annual Chestermere Ag Society Country Fair on September 11th & 12th. We look forward to seeing you there!
