CHESTERMERE, AB – Members of the Bow River Federal Liberal Association met Tuesday, September 8 and nominated William Macdonald Alexander as the Liberal Party of Canada candidate in Bow River for the October 19th federal election.
Born and raised in Calgary, William is entering his final year studying Political Science at the University of Calgary. He also has experience in the construction industry, framing houses, and has worked on a drilling rig for Precision Drilling. William currently serves on the executive of the University of Calgary Young Liberals.
Welcoming his nomination, William stated, “I am proud to represent Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party of Canada in Bow River. Having many friends who are recent or soon-to-be university graduates, I know how much young Albertans are struggling in Stephen Harper’s failed economy. Only Mr. Trudeau and the Liberal Party have a plan that will create jobs and opportunities for young Canadians. I look forward to spending the coming weeks on the campaign trail, engaging with voters and bringing real change to the doorsteps of Bow River.”
