I would like to thank MLA Leela Sharon Aheer for her yeoman service cleaning the podium between speakers at the Chestermere Whitecappers’ All-Candidate Forum held Friday, October 1.

I would also like to draw everyone’s attention to a great cause. Following the event local resident Rick Thirsk made a substantial donation to Leela’s Snip&Sip initiative in support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation’s Patient Family Assistance Program which pays for much needed drugs and other supports for families facing cancer.

Snip&Sip is well over $20,000 dollars raised and you may still donate at https://p2p.onecause.com/snip-and-sip/home. 100% of any donation goes straight to helping families facing cancer.
