The Chestermere and Indus Curling Clubs hosted their Annual Combined Modified Mixed Bonspiel on January 26th, 27th & 28th, 2024. The qualifications to enter were that the Skip and Third must be of opposite genders. Teams alternated their draws between the two ice rinks, the ice conditions were great, and the competition was very close with several games going to an extra end. The two clubs have a terrific relationship, and great fun was had by all! We had a lot of interest in the bonspiel this year, so we increased our intake from 24 to 28 teams. The teams were vying for top spot in 4 events and in the end, it was the Jodi Busche team that captured the “A” Event consisting of Jodi Busche, Barry Porter, Kelsi Busche & Phil Busche. The Janke team won the “B” Event, Wolfgang Janke, Christine McMitchell, Tracie Janke & Kate Major. The Eacrett team took the “C” Event, Kris Eacrett, Lindsey MacEwen, Ryan Avery & Rachel Pilgrim. And the “D” Event went to Hugh Adams, Sylvia Adams, Wade Olsen & Debbie Adams.
