A “People Savers Course” will be taking place at town hall in Chestermere on Saturday, Dec. 3 beginning at 9 a.m. It is a first aid course for children, providing two levels: Level 2 for those aged six to eight, and Level 3 for those from eight to ten. Learn how to prevent injuries and accidents, and if they do occur, how to help in various emergency situations.
The cost $30 plus GST for Level 2 and $40 plus GST for Level 3. Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register, call Sherri at 403-207-7061.

Chestermere High School’s family winter festival is this Saturday, Nov. 26 from 1 to 3 p.m.. There will be hot chocolate and cider, musical performances, an art display, and a chance for kids to get their photo taken with Santa Claus. CHS is only asking guests to bring donations for the local food bank.

Mothers, fathers, mothers-to-be, and of course babies are welcome to come to the La Leche League Chestermere support group meetings, happening the second Thursday of the month. Breastfeeding topics such asensuring a good milk supply, comfortable feeding and settling a young baby will all be covered.The next meeting will be on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chestermere Public Library Community Room. Tickets are on sale for Chestermere’s first Winter Wonderland Christmas Party next month at the recreation centre. It is an adult-only event for anyone looking to be part of a community Christmas party, either with coworkers, fellow club members, friends or family.
