  • Chestermere and Area News in Brief

Last week, Public Works staff put stakes in the ice on Chestermere Lake. The stakes are there so that when the ice is thick enough, the staff can clear a skating route around the lake. The stakes will help guide them and keep them safe as they clean a path, so the town is asking that the stakes be left in place.
On Dec.17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Chestermere Public Library will be transformed into Santa’s Grotto. There will be hot chocolate, treats, story time and Christmas crafts, and of course a visit from Santa. Everyone is welcome.

There will be craft making at Santa’s workshop, story time with representatives from the Chestermere Public Libary, and hayrides from 1 to 2:30 p.m. outside. There will be free coffee, hot chocolate, treats and a visit from Santa.
