Chestermere and Area News in Brief

The  Chestertmere Winterfest will return for another year on Saturday, Jan. 14.  Activities will take place at Anniversary Park and the Chestermere Regional Recreation Centre. For more information, visit www.chestermerefestivals.ca.

La Leche League Canada support group meetings are held in Chestermere every second Thursday of the month. Sessions can provide information, encouragement and support for mothers, fathers, mothers-to-be, and of course babies, about breastfeeding. The next  Chestermere Historical Foundation meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Chestermere Public Library. Everyone is welcome. The Historical Foundation will be discussing projects such as acquisition of the 1952 CCOA Fire Truck and refurbishing, outdoor historical art, aural history project with library, historic walk with Urban Beautification Committee, the Prairie Waters Primary Years Storytelling Project, and more.
