Cocaine Trafficking Search Warrant Execution

    During the evening of September 16, 2011 members of the Chestermere RCMP Detachment assisted a Calgary Police Service targeted enforcement team with a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a Chestermere residence in the area of East Lakeview Court.
    The Calgary Police Service had been investigating cocaine trafficking at a business in Calgary for an extended period of time. Information obtained through this investigation led to the CDSA search warrant in Chestermere. Two Chestermere residents were arrested and will be charged for cocaine possession/trafficking in Calgary. Neither of the arrests took place in Chestermere. Incident to the search warrant execution, a small amount of cocaine and a significant amount of Canadian currency was located and seized.
    The arrest and processing of charges will be handled by the Calgary Police Service.
