CHESTERMERE – An annual fundraiser that has been taking place in Chestermere for a decade will return once again this Feb. 11.

The banquet is organized yearly by the Chestermere chapter to raise funds for Ducks Unlimited, with the money providing the funding needed to fuel environmental projects such as wetland protection initiatives and other conservation efforts in the area and across the province.

There are usually around 100 guests in attendance, and tickets do sell out.

There is dinner, as well as a silent auction and live auction . The live auction features a live auctioneer, and numerous vacation packages and other exciting items go up for bid.

The event is for adults only, and tickets are $50 each, or $425 for a reserved table of eight.

The banquet will take place at the Chestermere Recreation Centre on Feb, 11, with cocktails and raffle sales beginning at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m., and the auction to follow.

For tickets, contact Steve Best at 403-237-3455 or Carol Smailes at 403-272-7170.
