Car shows wrap up for season in Chestermere

The car show season wrapped up on Sunday with shows in Cochrane, Shawnessy and the newest venue in Chestermere.
At the Straight Shooter in the Chestermere countryside, about 64 classic autos turned up.
It was a cool day, turning hot later, but the folks that came enjoyed the beautiful setting, the music from Battle Zone and the
hot food from Janis and John ( British Isles Fish and Chips).
George Ziwani with his beautiful 1969 Chevelle was awarded a Trophy for Best in Show.
The trophy was kindly donated by Theresa of Quality Trophies.
No entry fee was charged and the band played for free.
However the great people, that attended the event, chipped in to donate some funds to the band.
Lots of bags for the Food Bank were donated and dropped off for those in need.
All in all a successful first time.
Rick and Mike want to thank all the people that helped to put it together and look forward to next year.
