Chestermere’s 5th Annual Parade of Garage Sales will take place on May 5th from 9am to 3pm. Last year we had over 70 homes registered and over 100 separate sales. This year is bound to be even bigger and better. We already have 45 homes registered and the big day is over 3 weeks away.
“The Parade of Garage Sales started out as a way to take advantage of all the visitors in town for the Spring Fair, however has turned into something much bigger. Last year we handed out over 400 maps by 10am and buyers came from miles around. We had people turning in their signs by early afternoon because they had “sold out” which was perfect, as it gave families time to take in the festivities at the Spring Fair.”
There is no cost to register, as all the advertising and promotion is sponsored locally. Signs and balloons will be dropped off to all registered homes so shoppers can identify all participating homes. To register your home, please call (403) 204-3628, email patricia.virk@bmo.com, or drop by the Recreation Centre main office for a registration form.
This year maps will be handed out under the blue BMO tent in the CRCA Recreation Centre Parking lot starting at 8am. The Catholic Women’s League will also be handing out maps at St. Gabriel the Archangel School, as they will be holding a fundraising sale in the parking lot.
