Parade Route Change. Participation is FREE!

Saturday, September 8, 2012
9:30 am Start Time

Whether you are a spectator or a parade participant: Everybody loves a Parade! A parade let’s you share your ideas, your artistry and creativity, your name and excitement with everyone. Best of all it demonstrates community spirit. Chestermere has lots to showcase and this is your opportunity to join in, participate, be seen, and throw candy to the kids. Don’t forget that a vital part of a Parade is the audience. You can still participate by watching from the sidelines after you have filled up on Lions Club Pancakes. That’s right! Pancakes and a Parade! Celebrate our area with the Chestermere Agricultural Society and make your way to the Parade and the rest of the day’s events. Enter the Parade, watch the Parade, cheer for the Parade, and support the Parade. Make this Parade Chestermere’s biggest one yet!

All participants are required to meet for line up at 8:30 am at Springmere Drive and the future Rainbow Falls Road (access thru Invermere Dr & Springmere Dr.) The parade route will start at the West End Windermere Drive and proceed through the residential area along Windermere Drive, turn left on to Marina Drive then right on to Windermere BLVD. and right on to Chestermere Station Way ending at the grassy area by Scotia Bank and M&M’s Meat Shop. Entrants can participate by float, horseback, foot, bike, vehicle and more! Be creative! (Golf carts/mowers, stilts, roller blades). All participants are encouraged to throw wrapped candy. All participants are encouraged to incorporate a scarecrow into their float to go along with our “Salute to A Scarecrow” theme. All entrants are required to fill out a registration form which you may find at www.chestermerecrca.com :
