Early morning Assault – Public Request for Information

On September 30, 2012 at around 1:00 a.m. a 22 year old male resident of Chestermere was walking home alone along the open space under the power lines near West Chester Boulevard. He was approached by four persons noted to be around 20 years of age. These persons included one female and three males. For reasons yet unknown, one of the males assaulted the 22 year old male by pushing him to the ground and punching him several times. The three others in the group urged the attacker to leave the 22 year old male alone and not to continue with this assault. The 22 year old male resident did not know any of the persons in this group. He described his attacker as being a Caucasian male with short blonde hair, standing six foot two to six foot three inches tall and wearing a blue puffy jacket with white trim. The 22 year old male resident was able to return to his nearby residence and called the Chestermere RCMP. He did not sustain serious injuries resulting from this encounter.
