CHESTERMERE – For months now if you have been leaving the core of the town and heading west towards Calgary on the 1A Highway, you have undoubtedly noticed a couple of new buildings being constructed by the CIBC Bank. The developer, Melcor Developments Ltd., have confirmed 5 businesses that will take up residence in one of the two new buildings. Jarrett Thompson, a Melcor Representative said 10 of the 11 bays have been leased and some of the businesses will open in the spring.
The five businesses are Starbucks, Little Caesars, Dairy Queen, Anytime Fitness and Rice for King (a Vietnamese Restaurant). The remaining businesses have not yet agreed to be identified. Once those businesses are ready to go public, Melcor Developments Ltd. will make an announcement to introduce those businesses to us.
Many people in the surrounding areas like to know the types of businesses starting up for employment opportunities and potential shopping destinations. We will all have to wait just a bit longer to see how this story unfolds.
