Bailey McLellan hails from Okotoks, Alberta. She started playing hockey at the young age of 5 as her two older siblings were already active in hockey. Her hockey career began with the Okotoks Minor Hockey Association where she played for eight seasons. In 2009, she was selected to be part of the South Zone Sabres and compete in the Team Alberta Challenge. Following this challenge, she played on the Rocky Mountain Raiders Bantam Female AAA team. In 2010, she had the privilege to be a part of the Winter Games Zone 2 team where the team won gold. Her favorite hockey memory was going to provincials with the Midget Female A team in 10/11, being undefeated in the tournament and coming home provincial champs. This season marks her second season in a row playing with the Midget AAA Raiders. Aside from hockey, Bailey enjoys horseback riding and playing other sports such as baseball and volleyball. Upon graduation in 2013, Bailey would like to attend nursing school at STFX University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia where she hopes to continue with her hockey career as well.
The Raiders have several road trips coming up, with their next home game on Nov. 17, 11:30 a.m. at the Bob Snodgrass Arena in High River. Good luck on the road, girls.
