CHESTERMERE – I remember when my kids were small and the every kid in the school got involved in the Christmas festivities either with putting on a play, singing in a choir or decorating the school in Christmas colours and decorations. Parents watched and listened to their children practice their lines and or singing at home waiting for the day to arrive where they proudly sat in the auditorium to see their child perform what they had been practicing for weeks. If you miss those days or just want to take in a great performance by some children who have also been practicing for weeks and months, then we have a wonderful show for you.
Candie Schmidt has been working with a number of kids of all ages preparing them for a concert where they can show off the performing abilities to their relatives and others.
Come and support the performing arts in Chestermere and enjoy an evening of live music theater with the CRCA Kids’ Music Theater. There are 3 shows highlighting the evening. Everyone loves good ol’ Charlie Brown and he and his friends will be doing a performance titled “Good Greif It’s Christmas”, then there’ll be “Teenage Genie” and finally “Lost, Found and Forever Fifteen”. Three great performances for a very reasonable price.
The presentation is Sunday December 9th at the Chestermere Recreation Centre main gym, doors will open at 6:00 PM and the performances will begin at 6:30 PM.
Tickets are $5.00/person (3 years and under are free). Ticket prices include refreshments at intermission. Tickets are available at the Rec. Center main office and will also be available at the door on Sunday. For more information email Candie Schmidt at thelake@shaw.ca.
Schmidt and her crew put on 2 productions each year. The fall production starts with auditions in September with a December show and the spring production starts in February with a show at the beginning of June. Enjoy the show folks!
