CHESTERMERE – It seems like quite a long time ago but back on a hot day in September during the Chestermere Country Fair the Red Ribbon Pie Auction raised $1940 which was to be donated to STARS from the Chestermere Agricultural Society. A total of 32 pies were made, baked and sold to the highest bidders. The Chestermere Agricultural Society wishes to say a huge THANK YOU to all our pie makers for donating their time and all the bidders for the generous amounts bid. The local RCMP, Chestermere Firefighters were just a few of the people involved in making the pies. The highest bid was $250.00 for a peach raspberry pie.
STARS is a charitable, non-profit organization, and the STARS Foundation is the fundraising arm of the organization. Funding is met through donations received from individuals, service groups, business and corporations, municipalities, and through collaborative agreements with provincial governments.
