Two New Heroes Found in Alberta

CHESTERMERE – Well as some of you may know, Alex Halat, from the Oilympics Hockey Team, well known for his contribution to The World’s Longest Hockey Game and helping to contribute $1.7 Million for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, didn’t win one of the UFA Small Town Heroes grand prizes of $10,000 and a Paul Brandt concert right here in Chestermere. However, in a surprise announcement, on Thursday October 25th, UFA Co-operative Limited will be hosting a third Paul Brandt concert in Ponoka in appreciation of the exceptional efforts of the eight runners up and all of the proceeds from the concert will be divided among those finalists.
In addition to the two grand-prize winners who are Mack Erno from Teepee Creek and Ed Boychuk from Smoky Lake, eight runners-up will each receive $2,500 for their respective community project.
Tickets are on sale and going fast! Tickets are available for $25 plus applicable service fees at www.ticketweb.ca
