The Streetscape Committee of the Town of Chestermere is holding a banner design competition. These banners will be installed on the poles along the bridge, so they will be in a very visible location. What a thrill for an artist to have their design recognized and publically displayed for months and years to come. The banners are 28″ X 60″ and design submissions must be in those proportions. The design theme is “Summer in Chestermere”. Go wild – but make it colourful! A $250 prize will be awarded for the successful design. The deadline for submissions is March 30th, 2013. The Streetscape committee has a number of projects on the go such as: the Christmas lights, public art, a feature rose garden on WCD, birth forests plantings and our banner program. If you have an interest in any of these projects or have some new ideas that would add pizzazz to our streetscape please email wpeddles@telus.net. We are always looking for new members.
