The Chestermere Curling Club hosted their Annual Men’s Open Bonspiel November 28th to December 1st 2013. There were 16 teams entered and the men enjoyed some keen ice for the duration of the bonspiel. Our brand new Removable Hacks were put to the test, with some excellent curling action for the spectators. The Saturday evening banquet featured a very tasty meal catered by our very own Chestermere Dockside Diner! It was the Miller rink who took the “A” event with Jim Miller at the Skip position, Third- Don Owchar, Second- Ernest Fankhanel and Lead- Don Strom. The “B” Event Winners were Skip- Wolfgang Janke, Third – George Lorencz, Second – Trevor Nociar and Lead – Randy Palaniuk. “C” Event Winners were Skip – Fred Luyten, Third – Blaine Coupal, Second – Dale Zawyrucha and Lead – Randy Frazer. Great fun was had by all!
