Mind Body Spirit Expo

It's happening this Saturday

CHESTERMERE – The 5th Annual Mind Body & Spirit Expo is happening this Saturday March 23rd at the Chestermere Recreation Centre from 10 – 4 pm. Our theme for the Expo this year is SMILE – so join us for lots of FUN.
At the Expo you will find many exhibitors with services and products to enhance and enlighten your health and well being. Everything from Massage Therapists, Fitness Clubs, Yoga, Crystals, Aromatherapy & Chiropractic to Financial Fitness with the CIBC and Himalayan Salt Lamps. Between visiting the many exhibitors, you can experience crystal bowl therapy on the stage in the Main Hall. There will even be a hearing screening truck here! Find out about products that are good for your body both inside and out. There will also be Angel Card readings available for anyone interested. There are a few more tables left for exhibitors so email recreation@chestermerecrca.com if you would like to participate.
Last year the Expo offered an Interactive Positive Mental Health Room which was very popular. All ages enjoyed the variety of interactive activities. This year the coordinator Yvonne has worked hard to bring in more participants so bring the kids to this one and enjoy Laughter Therapy, Milkshake Breathing, Brain Math and much more. All not for profits that inspire positive mental health in any capacity are invited to participate and I am sure we can find room if anyone is still interested. There is also a new Healthy Eating Component this year and the Chestermere Library’s Cathy Burness will be there with information about Chestermere’s Community Garden, Container Gardening on Patios and Decks, Worm Farms and much more!
The Expo will also feature the “soft” launch for the new community walking program: Chestermere Walks. They will be looking for feedback about the walking programs you would like to see and will let you know about their new website. The Town of Chestermere will also be looking for feedback about Chestermere’s Parks and Pathways, so plan to stop at this table by the main office and let us know what you feel the community needs to enhance your walking and running experience.
The Expo offers free babysitting for up to one hour for 2 – 10 year olds so you can drop off the little ones while you enjoy the Expo. Come early and take advantage of the free goody bags that will be available for the first 200 visitors.
As always, volunteers are vital to Community Events so if you would be able to help out, email recreation@chestermerecrca.com . We also rely on the business community for donations so a big thank you to LIfepath Wellness, the Anchor, Safeway, Boston Pizza and M & M Meats for their support.
Don’t miss this unique event, it only happens once a year!
