Chestermere resident Grant Revak was named one of the Best Project Superintendents in Canada by Avid Ratings Canada.

According to his customers, Chestermere resident Grant Revak is one of the Best Project Superintendents in Canada and now he has the award to prove it.
Revak is a Site Manager for Brookfield Residential, a home builder in Calgary and he was recently recognized for his contributions to delivering stellar customer service by Avid Ratings Canada in a nationwide customer service survey completed by the customers themselves.
Avid Ratings Canada is the country’s leading industry award program honouring the best builders in Canada for delighting homeowners and was proud to announce the second annual 2014 Avid Service Award last week.
“The Avid Service Award is the first award to honour exceptional employees located throughout Canada,” says Tim Bailey, Division President of Avid Ratings Canada. “We are proud to recognize these special individuals, professionals who commit themselves every day to delivering exceptional homes and ensuring every home owner is thoroughly delighted with the major investment they’ve made.”
Home building employees who scored above the top 5th percentile in customer satisfaction were recognized from among thousands of employees rated in the Avid Ratings Canada GoSurvey program. Exemplary employees in Sales, Construction and, for the first time, Customer Service, were presented the Avid Service Award for their achievements in delivering outstanding service to customers.
The winners of the 2014 Avid Service Award were selected according to customer satisfaction scores directly tied to their performance on the Avid survey, provided they had a representative sample of more than 12 completed surveys over a 12 month period. The results were based on surveys taken by customers who closed on new homes between July 2012 and June 2013.
Some recent studies say that across North America customer service is getting worse, but it is also true that delivering exceptional customer service isn’t always easy. Revak feels that understanding the customers’ needs is key, “We go through the building process every day and we can have a tendency to minimize the future home owners concerns, just because we know how simple the potential fix can be. The only issue with that is the home owners don’t have that experience to fall back on. That is why it is important for us to take care of them and their investment.”
Revak explains that regardless of the cost of a home, he treats each and every one as if it were his own. “This is an honor to get after almost 15 years in the industry. Ultimately I believe it is a result of treating each and every home like a million dollar home. We need to remember that homes are a huge investment, no matter if they are a three hundred thousand dollar home or a million dollar home.”
As Site Manager for Brookfield Homes in Auburn Bay, Revak manages an average of 150 homes built each year. He is quick to share the credit with his team to make sure that their hard work does not go unnoticed, “I believe this award should also be for the site team and the trade base I work with every day. Ultimately it is because of this joint effort that I get this recognition.”
Overall, 10 Brookfield Alberta employees made the top five percent of thousands of homebuilding employees across Canada, seven of which were from Calgary.
