Thank you to the three people who did submit quilt squares for the 25th Anniversary Chestermere Red Ribbon Quilt/Banner Project!
But, the Red Ribbon committee is looking to make a HUGE quilted banner that will represent all of the families, organizations and businesses that have been and are still in Chestermere 25 years after that first Fall Fair on September 9th 1989! Three is just not enough!
Pre-cut 12″ by 12″ cotton squares can be picked up, as well as specially treated cloth on which you can simply print with your home ink jet printer an image from a photograph. Or, you may want to make a quilted submission to the project. The final square must be 12″ by 12″ allowing ½ an inch for folding all around and joining to the other squares. Stop in at the Chestermere Regional Recreation Centre office and speak with Carol if you would like to pick up a pre-cut square or a special copying cloth/paper page. Good luck and please think about submitting a square! The deadline is Friday January 30th and the squares will be judged–so prizes are on the horizon too!
