On June 22, 2015 around 9pm, Chestermere RCMP received a 911 call from a business in the Chestermere Station Way area reporting an attempted robbery. When no cash was available at that business, the suspect then entered a second business, which provided the demanded cash. The suspect took off on foot and after a short foot chase in the Oakmere community, the suspected – a 25 year old male from Calgary – was apprehended by Chestermere RCMP. No one was injured in this event and Strathmore Victims Services has been asked to assist the victims.
