Drug and Weapon Charges for Chestermere Man

Chestermere RCMP have reported that around noon on January 14, 2015, they conducted a vehicle stop on Range Road 241a and arrested, without incident, 20 year old Justin Dang of Chestermere. Shortly after taking Dang into custody, a search warrant was issued and executed for his Sandy Beach Cove residence. Substantial amounts of marihuana and cash were seized as evidence from the accused and from the residence.
Through a variety of investigational techniques, members of the Calgary ALERT team identified and gathered evidence identifying a 20 year old male Chestermere resident as a suspect for trafficking various unlawful drugs.
The Calgary ALERT has laid charges against 20 year old Dang for possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Dang was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Calgary on January 30, 2015.
