Volunteers deserve thanks

I would like to thank and commend the young men and women of the Mormon Church in Chestermere for their help during the severe thunderstorm on July 12. Many of the homes on Invermere Close had extensive water damage in their developed basement due to sewer backup, caused at least in part by overflow of the nearby catch basins. These men and women came to each house on the street and volunteered to move furniture and contents out of the basement to the main floor and garage. In my case, and I and sure in other houses, this act of selfless volunteering saved much of the contents of my basement, some of which are irreplaceable. Thank you again.
