For the fourth year, Santa came to the Langdon Veterinary Clinic to visit with and take pictures with local pets.
“Pets are a huge part of lots of people’s families so we figure why not bring the Christmas spirit together with your pets,” said Veterinary Technologist Melissa Block.
She said the event is unique since most pictures with Santa are for kids.
They were collecting donations for the Strathmore food bank along with creating fun memories for people with their pets.
“There’s nothing like getting a picture of your pet with Santa,” said Block.
Janice Jesenovec brought her nine-month-old Labradoodle Charlotte to get a picture.
Initially Charlotte wasn’t sure what to make of Santa but with a few treats she was quickly won over.
“I didn’t know how she’d react,” said Jesenovec.
“It was a slow start but Santa was good,” she said.
Jesenovec said that after Charlotte met Santa she was happy to be there.
Block said that the event always attracts lots of people and their pets and has been growing steadily since they first decided to host the event.
“It’s a fun event,” she said, “it’s always awesome to see people and how connected they are with their pets.”
