RCMP lay Charges in recent collision

Chestermere resident charged

Chestermere RCMP have laid charges in the collision July 12 that damaged a fence on Cove Road.
Fourty-five year old Chestermere resident Malkeet Aheer has been charged with Impaired operation of a motor vehicle and Operation of a motor vehicle over 80 mgs.
Aheer’s first court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 15 in Strathmore Provincial Court.
The charges come after RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision of a car striking a fence at 7:30 p.m. on July 12.
The vehicle suffered severe front end damage and several sections of the fence were completely destroyed.
No one was injured in the collision.
