Collision with two semis leaves one-person dead

Strathmore RCMP were called to the scene of a three-vehicle collision south east of Indus April 25.

Emergency crews along with police were dispatched to a collision between a pick-up truck and two semi-tractor trailers at 8:30 a.m.

The pick-up was travelling westbound on Highway 22x when it collided head on with an eastbound semi-trailer.

Shortly after the first impact, a westbound semi-trailer crashed into the debris of the first two vehicles.

The driver and lone occupant of the pick-up truck, a 45-year-old man identified as a Rockyview County resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neither semi driver received any serious injuries in the crash.

An RCMP collision analyst was brought in to insist with the investigation which is ongoing
